My Last Update 2

Casting "L" road kerb.

Ok, before we cast the road kerb, we must first make sure :
  1. the crusher-run is below 120mm for the FRL (finish road level).
  2. the crusher-run is fully compacted.
  3. make sure you put sunblock before you start work...(just kidding)
once the crusher-run is flat, compacted and leveled to the proper level, we can order the material, quarry dust and slurry.

we first mix the quarry dust and slurry. then we place the road kerb machine to where we want to cast the road kerb. after that pour the quarry dust mixture onto the kerb machine and let the machine do the work. Mr.Agung here will be controlling the road kerb machine.

Time to polish the road kerb.

this is another way to make road kerb, which is by hand and far more slower. only use for small length road kerb.

My Last update!!

this is how SPYTL cast their PILEs....

it makes the cost of building cheaper by casting their own piles. in addition to that, they are using cement from YTL cement. how's that for saving more cost!!

Mr.Agung, pouring cement into the cast.

you can see the steel reinforcement here, for your information, the steel reinforcement needs to follow a certain standard. Look at the "rebar" on the far right, it's suppose to be straight not bend.

this is where we stock up the piles for upcoming development.

The real deal...

so....up to week 3...i'm still in charge of doing the roadworks...

this is mr.excavator. so to do roadworks we "cut" the soil to a depth of 2 feet n more. once finish, we back-fill with sand because the base here is clay. once the sand bed done....compact and take level of the sand bed. no pics of the sand bed yet....maybe later la.

this is my 2 "a-ne" friends....helping me out with the roadworks.
1 is on the back-pusher leveling the crusher-run laid out after the sand bed.

it takes sometime to get the crusher-run flat...so mr.excavator is helping out.

once crusher-run is done according to drawing plan...it time to do...COMPACTION!!.
at that time you can feel the vibration through the ground...hahaha. feels like OSIM treatment for awhile in your legs.

in the end you get..

TADA...this nice flat out batu-batu-sss.

oh...it's week 3 ady?? damn...

let me be clear, I'm not a fan of story...and they say a picture is worth a thousand words so....I'll just show more pictures and less story telling. Easy??? indeed. I'll just show you random pictures about the place I'm working in.

so kids...this is where workers make their "plaster" or a coating workers put on top of the cement of a wall, basically to get that smooth surface before laying the paint.

Excavator.

office shop lots in the making!! we got till somewhere in May to submit a part of the shops there. oh by the way, that guy there is my supervisor. very very experience man!!
